The present I buy for everyone

December 10, 2015

How’s your Christmas shopping going? If you’re already totally stressed about it, then may I suggest my failsafe option? Pyjamas! Everyone loves new PJs – mums, dads, sisters, kids, friends – and they work for every budget, too.

Last year was our first Christmas at home and we hosted most of Pete’s family, including his three little nephews. I bought everyone new PJs, and we opened this present on Christmas Eve so that everyone could wear theirs in the morning when we opened the rest. Chic, cosy pyjamas are also useful for wearing on Boxing Day while you watch Christmas films and eat Celebrations.

I’ve rounded up some of my favourites below, so that if you’re so inclined you can get all your Christmas shopping done in one round of online ordering. Boom! (fist pump emoji)

the best Christmas PJs

Cheap and cheerful Christmas PJs: Christmas PJs will only get worn over the festive period, so there’s no point in spending loads. You can’t beat Primark for choice in this category, and the quality isn’t terrible either. But, if you want to order online, then I like these gaudy ones; the range from Tu is good, too.

Best for kids: Boden, although pricey, do great quality garments, and these longjohn-style PJs look so cute on. Gap are great for pyjamas, too, and I know George would love this fire engine pair. Sign up to their newsletters, as they’re always doing special offers and discounts.

Luxurious PJs for someone special: If you want to splash out, then you can’t go wrong with The White Company, or the Rosie for Autograph range from M&S (I can’t promise they’ll make you look like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, though). I’m planning to get this floral pair from John Lewis for myself – they’re not bad in terms of price, at £35, and the red is festive, but I will be able to wear them all year round.

Matching family pyjamas: It is basically my dream for me and my children to wear matching outfits at all times (see also: dungarees), so I can’t wait to get my mitts on these gorgeous PJs from The Bright Company that you can buy for mum, dad, kids and baby! I also recently discovered these matching baby and mum PJs from PJ Mammathey would make the perfect gift for any new mums you know.

Do you like giving/receiving new PJs as Christmas presents, or do you have your own failsafe option? I’m all ears!
P.S. More Christmas present ideas from me, Rose and Nicky.
